Gestures

Sparkheim uses the same few gestures everywhere. Once you know them, every screen works the same way.

Tap

Tap a card to open it. In a binder, a deck, or a list, tapping a card opens its edit screen. In search and on the Home tab, tapping a card opens its details.

Tap a button with three dots for more actions. Almost every screen has one.

Hold a finger

Hold a finger on a card or a row for more choices. Cards offer details, select, move to, copy to, and delete. Binder and deck rows offer edit, merge, move, and delete.

This is the gesture to try when you think "I want to do something with this thing." Holding a finger almost always shows a menu.

Swipe on cards

Some screens are made for working through cards one by one. On those screens, swiping a card left or right is the main action, and the direction always means the same thing: right is yes or more, left is no or less.

In the scanner, on the scan banner, and in the scan tray: swipe right for one more copy, left for one less. At zero, the card is removed.

On a move or copy screen: swipe to set how many copies to take.

In a brew's slot editor: swipe right to assign a card, left to unassign it.

In the pull list: swipe right to mark a card as pulled, left to unmark it.

Everywhere else, cards open with a tap and swiping just scrolls.

Swipe on screens

When one card fills the screen, big and in full art, swiping walks between cards. This works on the card's detail page, on its edit screen, and in the focused view. Swipe left or right for the next or previous card. You do not have to go back to the list.

Swipe between panels: the Collection tab's Binders, Decks, and Lists are pages you can swipe across.

Swipe down on any sheet to close it. If you were editing, your changes are saved.

Swipe on round buttons

The round button in a corner often hides more than its tap.

Swipe left on it and controls slide out: in a binder or deck the layout, sorting, and grouping controls.

Swipe down on it on the Collection tab to bring up the search bar. You can also pull down on the tabs to do the same.

On screens with filters, swipe up on the button to clear the filters and the search box in one move.

A small pulsing arrow next to a round button means a swipe is available there.
