Settings and backups

Settings opens from the Home tab. Most options explain themselves. These are the ones worth knowing about.

Prices

Every price in the app comes from one marketplace.

Marketplace picks which one: TCGplayer, Cardmarket, or Cardhoarder for MTGO.

Currency sets what the prices convert to, at daily rates. Cardhoarder is the exception: MTGO cards are traded in event tickets, so its prices always show as TIX and do not convert.

Price basis picks which of the marketplace's numbers to use, for example Cardmarket's Trend price. Price change switches the movement display between an amount and a percentage.

Change the marketplace or currency and every number in the app follows: the dashboard, every card, every deck.

Reset purchase prices starts your cost tracking over: every card's purchase price becomes today's market price, marked as an estimate. Prices you typed in are replaced too, so the app asks before it runs.

Backups

Your collection can back up to iCloud. Under Manage iCloud backups you back up now, restore, and choose how many backups to keep.

A backup can also be a file. Save it and send it anywhere: Files, AirDrop, or another app. Restore from a file brings it back. A backup holds your whole collection: cards, binders, decks, brews, and lists.

Restoring is safe to try. Right before a restore, the app saves an automatic copy of your data as it is now, marked Before restore in the backup list. If the restore was not what you wanted, restore that copy and you are back where you started.

Make a backup before you experiment with big imports or bulk deletes. It is the safety net.

Card data and updates

The app checks for new cards, sets, and prices on its own.

Check for updates runs it right now, for example on spoiler season mornings. Right under it, Announcements holds messages from the team, current and past. Large downloads on Wi-Fi only defers the big files until you are on Wi-Fi. Auto-download commander stats keeps the Commander data fresh in the background.

Card languages downloads names, text, and scans in other languages, for search and for the scanner.

Appearance

Accent color changes the app's highlight color, with a preview of how each choice looks. The lava lamp backdrop and the breakdown bar dress the Collection dashboard. Hide status bar hides the clock and battery for clean screenshots.

Collection

Show collection search bar keeps the search bar at the top of the Collection visible all the time. Left off, the search stays hidden to save space and you pull down on the tabs to bring it up when you need it.

The rest

Keep screen awake stops the phone from locking while the app is open. Show swipe hint controls the pulsing arrows that point out swipe gestures. Manage storage shows what uses space and clears cached art.

What's new shows what changed in each update. And Send feedback opens an email straight to the developer. Found bugs and ideas are always welcome.
